Account Executive Job in Parsippany, New Jersey US

Responsible for expanding business and market share for HRA within client assigned accounts.   Developing customer contacts within assigned accounts, assessing customer business needs and actively marketing HRA’s portfolio of syndicated strategic studies and in selling convention based research to satisfy those needs across multiple client companies.

The Account Executive must be highly motivated toward achieving a high level of success, revenue attainment, must possess strong selling skills, strong communication and presentation skills, willing to learn and understand the principles of primary market research and believe in uncompromised customer satisfaction.  In addition, strong inter-team and cross functional working relationships skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

        Responsible account targeting, planning, selling and building a strong book of contacts within each account.

        Responsible for cold calling into accounts via telephone and selling the feature and benefits of HRA’s syndicated strategic studies and HRA’s array of upcoming conventions for companies to consider as it relates to conducting primary market research.

        Follow up and scheduling appointments with clients as it relates to larger selling opportunities and account penetration.

        Proposal development and email follow up with clients as it relates to effective selling and building longer term strategic relationships.

        Identify and understand customer’s current product line and new product portfolio, along with the customer’s imperatives, goals and objectives.

        Accountable for strong customer service and professionalism as it relates effective selling and account penetration and in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

        Prepare and present monthly account performance with the sales team and HRA Leadership Team.

        Develop specific account plans reflecting the strategy, tactics and objectives that are aligned with the broader sales team as it relates to the strategic syndicated studies and convention opportunities.

        Achieve annual revenue profit targets by accounts through effective methods (prospecting, relationship building, tactical consultative selling, etc.)

        Attend seminars/conferences as appropriate for the healthcare industry and overall selling skills.

        Stay abreast of client and market issues that are important to our overall selling efforts.

Skills and Competencies:

 

        Minimum of 1 – 2 years of successful sales experience.

        Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

        Strong business writing skills and email etiquette is important for client follow up.

        Ability and desire to learn the fundamentals of primary market research.

        Ability to build and execute on account plans.

        Forecast and communicate business goals month to month.

        Ability to manage multiple client companies, contacts, projects, priorities and timelines.

        Ability to interact in a cross functional team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities of the team members and monitor your performance against the overall team goals and objectives.

        Positive attitude and creativity through the peaks and valleys of the sales cycle.

        Passion to seek out, or create new business opportunities.

        Ability to work in a service delivery business model.
