Account Executive

 

The role of the account executive within the HPS organization is to provide executive level management and communication for specific carrier partners and their relationship with HealthPlan Services.  The account executive is responsible for new business development within the carrier’s strategy and vision.  As a HealthPlan Services leader, the account executive is to be the face and communication point to the carrier partner’s executive team.

 

·         Broad operational latitude and responsibility in maintaining the relationship and confidence between our carrier partner and HPS

·         Serves as an executive level consultant for operational, technical, and organizational strategies or growth plans within the carrier relationship

·         Oversees adherence to contract obligations as outlined in the Master Service Agreement with our carrier partners

·         Establishes and maintains regular monthly and quarterly reporting structure with carriers to ensure communication on overall performance

·         Communicates Health Plan Services investments and/or improvements to better the overall working relationship with our carrier partners

·         Contact person responsible for monthly invoicing, settlement, and payment history with our carrier partners

·         Responsible for reporting and invoicing of IT hours and project tasks

·         Works with internal leadership to secure sufficient resources to align HPS with carrier initiatives

·         Continuously involved with carriers to forecast activity due to growth, industry changes, or regulatory directives

·         Conceives, plans, and executes initiatives related to strategic need of the carrier/HPS relationship

·         Maintains regular contact with key carrier personnel to manage expectations and minimize escalations to Senior Executive leadership

·         Responsible for drafting contract amendments and coordinates/initiates contractual discussions when appropriate

·         Works with HPS Senior Executive leadership to identify organic growth opportunities and prepare business development plans to obtain expanding services with our current carrier partners

·         Responsible for Carrier profitability and contribution margins of assigned accounts; this includes working with internal operations areas to manage expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs/expenses.

·         Establishes and maintains monthly internal carrier/client meeting with key operational/technical stakeholders to ensure a clear and consistent leadership message of carrier expectations and performance
