Position Description

Based in our London office, the Sales Executive role is important to our global sales efforts as they will have key responsibilities in new client development. This candidate will grow into having a deep understanding and appreciation for Yankee Group products in order to discuss products and services to new clients. Understanding sales approaches for business services rather than tangible products is key success in this role.
The Account Executive is expected to:
· Proactively identify, develop and qualify new selling opportunities within territory assignment with companies with revenues of $30 million to over 1 billion.
- Present and sell Yankee Group products and services via the telephone and occasional face-to-face meetings to new customers across a defined territory within EMEA.
- Build, maintain, and forecast a territory pipeline of opportunities in accordance to sales management guidelines.
- Achieve individual performance metrics, delivering contracted business that meets or exceeds quota
- Document all required information in Yankee Group CRM database (Salesforce.com).
- Attend all company sponsored training sessions and apply learned techniques to sales function.
- Collaborate effectively with other Yankee Group functions as required throughout the selling process.
Experience and Knowledge:
We are seeking an articulate, highly motivated sales professional with a minimum of 3-5 years of highly successful sales experience preferably in the research industry. The ideal candidate will be an energetic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment. Knowledge of and experience in, research, advisory, and consulting industry is preferred but candidates with a successful sales background in a solution selling will also be strongly considered.
- Demonstrated understanding and aptitude for the communications and technology industries.
- Proven success in closing large business services solutions to telecommunications (wired and mobile) and/or technology clients.
- Candidates with excellent oral and written European Languages skills preferred.
- Established ability to take business solutions or concepts and turn them into specific value-add opportunities to existing clients or prospects.
- Exceptional presentation skills – both in the development and delivery of a presentation.
- Strong computer proficiency including use of a CRM system.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent inter-personal and inter-departmental skills.
