POSITION OVERVIEW:

ISS Governance Services division, the world's leading provider of proxy voting and corporate governance solutions, is seeking to hire an intern to assist its Account Management team from March to June (3 months) in the London office. The successful candidate will have a corporate governance or financial background and exhibit a passion for the governance business.

As part of the Account Management team, the intern must be detail oriented, adaptable, and an eager problem solver. Great communication skills are a must as the intern will have to deal with all levels of client management. Assisting in managing the relationships for a portfolio of clients will expose the intern to a wide range of institution types and ensures a challenging role with daily client interactions. To succeed in the role, the intern must learn about corporate governance and proxy voting services, understand client needs, then bring that knowledge together to provide insight and best practices to those client organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Account Management team

• Own and manage client inquiry and issue resolution process using SalesForce.com and other internal tools

• Perform Master Account List reviews

• Perform ad hoc analysis and reports for clients using excel and other business analysis tools

• Perform testing of new product features

• Assess client reporting needs and coordinate report delivery     

• Act as liaison between client and internal teams for key client initiatives

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office functionality

• Innovative, motivated, client-oriented and commercially-aware thinker

• Excellent organizational and verbal skills

• A team player able to effectively manage the expectations of a diverse and demanding client base
