Account Manager - External Sales

The Account Manager is responsible for generating qualified leads and move-ins as a result of a direct external sales effort and co-marketing effort with Sunrise Senior Living communities. The Account Manager will target referrals from among the professional medial community, various community associations, and related providers. Responsibilities include positioning Sunrise Senior Living as a preferred provider and maintaining professional relationships in the community, developing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets.
The Account Manager
- Facilitates and provides ongoing product-service education as a result of sales effort within the market to trade organizations, hospital departments, physicians and other health care organizations, as appropriate
- Coordinates participation of community team members in professional societies and activities related to the health care industry, which will result in qualified leads
- Identifies both new business opportunities and new customer call points within the communities served for additional qualified leads and move-ins
- Identifies, targets, and generates consistent and continuous referral stream from qualified referral sources as a result of an effective and systematic external business development yielding both census and revenue growth
- Organizes trade show presentations, brochures, and other marketing material, and provides support with professional events held in the community which will drive qualified leads for the communities they represent
TERRITORY: OAKVILLE, MISSISSAUGA, ERIN MILS BURLINGTON
- Prior experience selling to healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical supply accounts is preferred
- Three to five (3-5) years experience in consultative business to business sales
- A demonstrated track record of successful account management
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate group presentations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours, available for our customers at peak service delivery days and time
- Proven ability to work without daily supervision either on the road or in a home-office environment
- College degree preferred
