Account Manager
Code Red Associates are a specialist supplier of ICT resource to the public sector, local authority social housing sectors. We are currently resourcing for an exciting opportunity for a Social Housing Account Manager with a market leading software vendor and solutions outsourcer to take responsibility for their Customer Accounts.
The purpose of the role will be to provide customer service to the organisations key accounts directly and to be responsible for achieving an individual sales target. You will do this by ensuring overall customer satisfaction and retention whilst recommending appropriate business solutions to support the customers' business IT strategies. There is an equal emphasis placed on customer service account management, as there is on the sales element of this role. Therefore the role has more to it than just the sales element, and the sales would be very much consultancy led rather than an aggressive new business approach. You will also have or develop on an existing understanding of the Social Housing sector including in particular the issues and challenges that the market currently faces as well as perceived future challenges. In the way, you will assist in achieving the strategic aims of the organisation and contribute to a continuous improvement programme. The suitable applicant will ensure that their sales customer satisfaction targets are met, ensuring an accurate sales pipeline and ensure the highest customer service levels whilst recommending improvements on an on-going basis.
It is essential that you have a successful, measureable and tangible track record within Social Housing/Local Government software /or customer service, as well as an understanding of public sector procurement methods. It is desirable that you have experience of working in some capacity with Social Housing Management applications/services such as Northgate Housing/OHMS, Aareon QL, Capita Academy/OPENHousing, Orchard ArcHouse/Housing, MIS Active-H, Civica Universal/CTX/Saffron, or integrated applications. CIH (Chartered Institute of Housing) membership would be a bonus but not a pre-requisite.
This role is home based with two thirds of your time spent on the road visiting customers and satellite offices. The remaining time is spent working from home. As a result a full UK driving license in essential for the post which also comes with Company Car or a Car Allowance.
