Account Manager
Account Manager - Agronomy
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations group. We are looking for a Account Manager - Agronomy to provide best in class agronomy service and products in our South Central, SD Territory. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be detail oriented.
You will;
- Drive sales growth with new and existing top growers in assigned territory
- Develop, implement and execute sales growth which supports Country Operations in crop protection, seed, fertilizer and precision ag marketing programs.
- Follow sales processes defined in business unit gap analysis to increase market share and sustainable revenue growth.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, annual sales budget and grower accountability.
- Implement practical agronomic insight that brings value to the grower thru effective management of side by side field plots, grower answer plots, and all associated product positioning and demonstrations.
- Collect and summarize performance data to optimize products and service positioning.
- Effectively communicate benefits and make recommendations for all commercial seed, crop protection products, fertilizers and precision services.
- Coordinate effectively with internal business partners and vendors/suppliers to maintain current and correct retail programs and pricing.
- Communicate all grower interactions to appropriate business units and key account specialist team.
- Link customers to other CHS enterprise opportunities.
- Effectively manage and monitor the sales data base for all customer contact.
- Must reside and maintain a home office in the assigned sales territory.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Agronomy/Agricultural sales related program with a minimum of 10 years agronomy sales experience; OR
- 4 year degree or Agronomy/Agriculture sales related program with a minimum of 5 years agronomy sales experience.
- Proven history of developing and implementing sales marketing plans to increase business.
- Experience with MS Office applications and creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to travel independently with occasional overnight stays.
- Must reside and maintain a home office in the assigned sales territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Crop Advisor certification.
