Account Manager – Benelux recruitment
Financial institutions across Europe are increasingly outsourcing business to investment management companies. This trend is being driven by a variety of factors in terms of changing customer demands; an emphasis on excellence; and cost controls. Against this background, the Financial Institution channel has been identified as a key source of business for my client, together with fund distribution through third parties.
The firm has identified this channel as an opportunity to grow net revenue and has made significant headway across the European landscape. The number of clients, their geographic diversity and the dedication required with each one of them has highlighted the need to grow the team. Consequently, my client has decided to recruit a salesperson to join the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and assist in the promotion of the firm’s activities to other financial institutions and wealth managers in the Benelux region – for example, banks, insurers, family offices, multi-managers, platforms and private banks.
The successful candidate will spend his time covering the Benelux financial organisations and third party distributors (precise target market will be somewhat dependent upon the candidate’s profile and experience) with key responsibilities including both business development (asset raising) as well as servicing of existing investors.
This role will require travel, likely to be around 2 days per week.
This position will initially be based in London with the possibility of relocating to Amsterdam in the future.
Candidate Profile
To be successful, the candidate will be a native Dutch speaker, fluent in English with comprehensive Benelux market knowledge.
All applications will be expected to come with the following experience:
- Working for an asset manager covering benelux region in a similar role
- A fixed income expert working in a sales role in an investment bank
As this person will be responsible for leading meetings, you will have no less than 4 years experience, but equally we would not expect this role to be suitable for people with more than 8 years experience.
