Account Manager, Global Online Sales Distribution

 

Duties:  Lead development and implementation of overall strategy to optimize revenue and foster competitive advantage within global online sales distribution channel; identify and take action on opportunities to strengthen relationship and create reciprocal benefits with key online 3rd party accounts; serve as central point of contact for account and internal stakeholders, including effective communication with all levels of management; analyze production  reports to identify availability, booking and rate trends by property; provide revenue analysis results to Starwood Revenue Management team; communicate to internal Regional Revenue Management and Marketing Teams on successes and missed opportunities; communicate marketing and promotional opportunities to Brand Marketing, Regional Revenue Management and Marketing teams and hotels; work with property/divisional leaders, DORMS and Field Marketing to ensure complete understanding of contract terms, technology particulars and inventory management; escalate rate and inventory issues to hotels for resolution to ensure rate competitive-ness; coordinate new participating hotel solicitations, implementation, and any ongoing communication regarding the account with regional and corporate staff; function as Company liaison for customer service information provided from the managed account regarding guest and hotel experiences; manage, direct and oversee all aspects of Global Online Sales and Distribution accounts; and, enforce the policies, procedures and standards of excellence of Starwood Hotels Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

 

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management (or similar field) and 23 months related experience.  Qualified candidate will also possess:  strong analytical abilities with extensive Microsoft Excel ad Access skills; experience with client relationship management; demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including the ability to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties; prior experience with Global Distributions Systems and/or Internet 3rd party channels; understanding of hotel pricing strategy and revenue management; and, knowledge of hotel back office operations.  Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be accepted.
