Account Manager – Institutional Benelux recruitment

Job Purpose/Background:
- Take responsibility for the ownership, servicing and development of Benelux institutional client accounts and relationships to ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality and seamless service offering across the BlackRock product set.
- Contribute positively to the BlackRock Benelux and broader EMEA business results
- Provide input to Business strategy/planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the named Account Manager (AM) for a number of clients and relationships
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients and prospects by meeting and exceeding client expectations
- Working with Clients and their consultants to create and develop solutions for Pension Fund clients utilising product and investment knowledge
- Build and execute high level development plans for clients
- Share best practices across Global Client Group and embrace team working to contribute to the team and overall Benelux business targets
- Preparing presentation materials for account reviews and new business pitches
- Taking responsibility for client and consultant queries, delegating to appropriate internal teams, monitoring progress to resolution and ensuring that responses are timely and of a high quality
- Gathering information from clients and consultants to provide feedback to help support sales planning and product design and evolution
- Gaining a clear understanding of clients’ service requirements, storing details on client management systems and sharing information internally in order to contextualise and motivate support from internal teams
- Ensuring sufficient familiarity with BlackRock’s existing products and operational capabilities to aid query resolution and to assist with the design and delivery of external communication/reporting
- Representing and promoting BlackRock at client conferences, industry forums and client entertainment events as appropriate.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- Fluency in Dutch is required. Additionally, proficient English language skills are needed.
- Relevant experience within a similar role in ideally Institutional Sales.
- Strong technical product, investment and market knowledge
- Broad understanding of the Dutch pension fund market, investment industry and competitive landscape
- Track record of strong service- and results-oriented skills
- Demonstrated aptitude for building service-oriented business
- Able to demonstrate deep working knowledge of BlackRock capabilities, key products and the operational framework in which they exist over the phone, via email and in person as appropriate
- Ability to network and develop relationships with pension managers, consultants and other third party stakeholders, and to communicate and interact effectively with personnel at all levels within BlackRock
- Able to represent BlackRock to clients in all appropriate forums
- Excellent team player
- A self-starter who can quickly analyse client needs and focus on delivery
- Excellent prioritisation skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Experience in a process driven, risk controlled environment
- Economics degree/ qualification, CFA/VBA Preferable
