Account manager – Investor Relations recruitment
Our client is an outsourced Investor Relations team that manages tailored programmes for UK listed corporates, targeting difficult to reach wealth managers, private client brokers and boutique funds. Programmes include the organisation of road shows throughout the UK. The current team works alongside their highly regarded research analysts.
As Account Manager you will work closely with the existing team and be responsible for a portfolio of clients from the outset. This is an opportunity to develop a new network of contacts within a client facing role, building on your skills acquired from a proven career in financial services.
The Role:
• Manage a portfolio of client companies, helping to raise their profile within the wealth management community
• Responsibility for arranging events and then joining the client on roadshows and investor meetings
• Ensuring the client is appropriately briefed in advance of any meeting
• Collecting feedback from investors after all meetings and providing feedback in turn to the client
• Contribute to the development of the company’s investor access offering, building on our existing network of contacts within the financial community
• Develop relationships with corporate brokers, financial PR advisors and professional investors in order to build our referral network of new corporate clients
• Develop and maintain internal relationships across our company
• Understand all the services offered by our company and be able to cross-sell where appropriate
• Assist in the pitching of our services to new potential clients
• You will also be expected to contribute to the managing and development of the account executives on the team
Candidate Requirements:
• The candidate will be a self-starter, managing client relationships from the outset
• Good team player
• A minimum of 3 years experience (in a similar role preferred)
• Existing network of wealth managers and advisers would be preferred
• Excellent verbal written communication and interpersonal skills
• Highest levels of integrity and professionalism
• Good knowledge of financial markets
• Highly motivated prepared to be involved in all parts of the service
• Ability to prioritise and multitask
• Ability to work under pressure
