Account Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and building relationships with new and existing customers to generate increased sales revenue. Provide product knowledge and customer service to produce increased sales revenue.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Under direction of the Area Manager, execute short and long-term business strategy to increase sales, expand brands and increase our sales presence in the market.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with customers to assure that goals and expectations are met.
• Develop a thorough understanding of and provide customers with product, marketing, promotions and pricing information.
• Manage field warranty and product issues in conjunction with customer service, dealer and distributor network.
• Advise Area Manager of current status, opportunities and recommendations to any issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years of selling experience with a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers.
• Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with department, cross-functional business teams, and customers.
• Excellent project management and budgeting skills with a deadline orientation and focus.
• Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
• Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
• Ability to travel daily within assigned territory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• 2 years experience in outside sales, preferably selling cabinetry or equivalent building materials.
• Demonstrated success selling to large volume building products accounts.
• Kitchen layout, design and or installation experience.
• Experience using computer design programs such as Planit Millennium, Fusion or 20/20.
• Experience working in a manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product.
