POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Manager (AM) serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction. The AM is responsible for building relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. The AM is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Responsible for developing new business

·         Develop strategic and tactical proposals and offer direction through appropriate market and brand research

·         Develops relationships with key client decision makers, influencers and partners (Brand and Continuing Health Education managers, IT, faculty, medical associations and universities)

·         Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue

·         Reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met

·         Manages effective working relationships with internal project team (Project and conference management teams)

·         Works closely with the program team in order to maintain continuous knowledge of program status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the program

·         Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable

·         Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team

·         Reports to the Account Director, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis

·         Travel is required (majority of the time within Canada)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

·         Minimum bachelor degree

 

Experience

·         Ideally, but not required, 2-5 years account management/sales experience (pharmaceutical experience is welcomed)

 

Technical Skills

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Excellent presentation skills

·         Problem solving skills

·         Assets:

o        Medical science background

o        Bilingual (English and French)

·         Self-motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator

·         High level of initiative and works well in a team environment

·         Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well

·         Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction

 

Travel

·         Ability to travel as needed to support business initiatives

·         Valid drivers license

·         Competitive Salary (55K -65K depending on experience) + commission bonus
