Account Manager (Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical)
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to develop into an Account Director in this busy medical communications agency/STM publisher.
Working within the Projects team, you will be responsible for leading accounts from both a client and content perspective. You will be providing a strategic direction for client and project management and will help to assist in business development of new and existing clients. This is also an excellent opportunity to develop junior staff members, including the training and mentoring of associates.
Key Skills Required
· Applicants must have at least a strong life science degree, and strong project management background covering a variety of publications, digital projects and other medical communications projects.
· Core capability in getting the job done is essential and you will be principally responsible for quality control and client service on your accounts.
· Presentation skills, client-facing presence and sales experience would also be beneficial. The role will require regular travel to predominantly UK clients, and some out-of-hours meetings and travel.
· At least 2-5 years pharmaceutical sales experience liaising at Product / Marketing Director level with excellent presentation skills
· Ideally someone with medical agency / pharmaceutical experience
