Account Manager North America SBS Meeting Services
The Account Manager serves as a strategic business partner for internal customers to deliver a strategic approach to the management of the organizations book of meetings business as well as the design of the meeting structure.
The Account Manager is a resource for strategic meetings management and is current in industry trends and best practices. The candidate should have a broad knowledge and understanding of most meeting types and be a resource for internal procedures, guidelines and policies within the company.
They should understand the inner workings of the broader Shared Business Services organization and provide solutions that are rooted in customer service to drive efficiency and leverage company assets.
The candidate will need to partner with Global Procurement closely in order to develop and execute Meeting Services strategies. The Account Manager leads the identification of business needs by analyzing business trends and working with suppliers to execute against corporate strategies.
The Account Manager will work to identify gaps in the organization and makes recommendations for improvements by providing the value-add solution of consolidated meeting and travel services through SBS. Additionally, the Account Manager should have a broad knowledge of technology as it pertains to meetings and specifically virtual technology.
The candidate will be expected to:
Facilitate relationships between customers and meeting planning suppliers
Demonstrate proficiency in departmental technology tools and reporting data
Periodic report presentations on clients meeting activity/spend/savings
Participates in various work streams or initiatives to enhance meeting and congress/convention activities (examples: global preferred meeting venue program)
Drive exposure within the company by marketing and educating efforts
Establish and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for customers
Main Activities
Strategic business partner for internal clients
Execute SBS Meeting Services meetings and congress/convention strategy
Forecasting, managing and tracking of all meetings data
Gains understanding of customers' business requirements
Challenge requirements as necessary
Collaboration with Global Procurement in support of the company's supply strategy
Continually interacts with SBS Meeting Services team and third party suppliers to enable processes that focus on:
Maintaining customer centricity
Maintaining service excellence
Provide service delivery relative to meeting structure
Budgeting
Sourcing and contracting
Evaluation and management of meeting logistics agencies
Logistical Planning Execution
Reconciliation data capture
Production elements (If necessary)
Content delivery
Reducing the operating costs of meeting planning
Industry Benchmarking

Drives the delivery of best-in-class meeting planning and travel services that are cost effective and deliver value to the company
Required
Bachelors degree required
5+ Years in Meetings Management/ Travel experience
People Management Leading Teams
Preferred
Multi-Lingual
Experience with Sales Processes
Certified Meeting Planning or Certified Meeting Management Certification
Meeting management and/or Travel industry experience
Proficient computer skills PowerPoint, Excel, Word
