Account Manager / Product Manager
Our Client is an established supplier of chemicals and food ingredients to a wide range of UK businesses. They also source chemicals and formulations for use in product development for their customers.
They are now seeking an Account Manager / Product Manager to join their Food Ingredients Division. This position will be office based in London, is a full-time permanent role and will report to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with research to identify and source further products
- Getting to know customers including visits to their factories
- Sourcing new customers and arranging visits (1-2 days per week)
- Dealing with telephone orders from customers
- Contacting suppliers and hauliers
- Dealing with specifications of products
- Liaising with the warehouse
- Pricing and commercial discussions with customers and suppliers
- Preparing and completing paperwork
- Assisting with Letters of Credit and other financial documents etc.
- Learning the products our Client sells and similar products and the markets they work in
Qualifications and Experience
- Enthusiastic person who is keen to learn and develop a career with the Company.
- Gets on well with people, good I.T.Skills (Word, Excel, Internet) and good telephone skills.
- Knowledge of the use of chemicals or Food Ingredients is not important but experience as an account handler and experience of sourcing new products is preferred.
In return our client is offering a basic salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum plus benefits.
