Position Description:
SunGard's Asset Management segment provides business-critical investment and operational support to asset management businesses in 30 countries, spanning the world of traditional and alternative investment. You will be responsible for increasing revenues for SunGard FastVal within UK, Ireland and Northern Europe. The territory will include selected accounts in London plus a number of countries within the region. This is a direct sales, quota-carrying position offering base salary and competitive commission levels. The sales executive is expected to develop new relationships and convert them into new accounts and to build on existing relationships with established accounts.
• Work with sales management to develop and execute account plans for target market sectors
- Identify and undertake specific initiatives to win new business at each account
• Identify, contact and qualify new prospects within the territory
- Cold calling and following up marketing leads
• Develop and execute responses to queries from prospects and clients which may take the form of informal requests or more formal RFI/RFP documents
• Co-ordinate one-to-one client meetings with issuers/bankers, aggregator and hedge fund clients
- Setting up meetings efficiently to make best use of travel time
- Undertaking demonstrations and/or presentations of selected product offerings (including FastVal and FastVal Analytics)
• Manage sales opportunities from first call through to closure
- Prioritising appropriately to maximise revenue
- Maintaining details of the sales pipeline for all potential and existing clients within the territory using the internal contact management systems
- Negotiating and closing new business contracts
• Provide input to the generation of marketing materials and planning of marketing activities
• Stay on top of all the market developments within the territory and take ownership of market intelligence and maintaining sales teams awareness of all competitor activity
Position Requirements:
• Proven sales experience
• Knowledge of, Financial Markets and derivatives
• Knowledge of the independent valuation market would be an advantage
• A capable, articulate, personable self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly self motivated: ability to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative, tenacity and perseverance
• Team player with ability to work successfully within immediate team and the broader technical pre-sales and client support environment
