Solicits and maintains favorable contact with current accounts. Develops and qualifies leads within existing accounts for additional products and services and passes those leads to sales staff to close. Secures multi year maintenance renewals within existing accounts and works with accounting and management to collect delinquent outstanding receivables. Works closely with sales, product teams and support to resolve customer problems and develop strong relationships with clients.

• Plays a role in driving business unit sales and cross-sales to penetrate existing accounts and aggressively expand relationships.
• Under limited direction, cultivates relevant markets by developing and maintaining industry and product knowledge, understanding of customers’ needs and concerns, participating in appropriate trade organizations and their events, and continuously promoting a positive company image.
• Responsible for identifying, attracting, and retaining customers through proactive contacts, thorough follow-up on outstanding issues, and professional contract negotiations.
• Contributes to helping the business unit meets or exceeds corporate goals regarding revenue, profit, new sales and client satisfaction.
• Serves as information resource to clients, sales support, marketing, and management regarding sales activity and ongoing operations.
• Develops and implements comprehensive sales plans for existing accounts.
Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education/Certification/License/Training
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• Requires 5+ years experience with software or technology sales and support within the Financial Insurance industries or equivalent; with emphasis on customer service.
• Experience in banking or operations a plus.
• Possesses extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment.
• Work is somewhat complex and requires moderate analytical ability.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of business and operations in the financial, insurance, or related industry.
• Excellent human relations skills, including written and verbal communications and group presentation skills.
• Must possess strong skill in sales and negotiating techniques. Must be able to organize activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously with effective and timely follow-up on each.
• Possess a positive attitude while operating under pressure, and be an independent problem-solver.
• Must be available for minimal travel as needed; maintain an excellent driving record and be willing to fly.
• Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department.
• Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems.
• Uses some independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions.

• Travel up to 20% required
