Account & Reference Data Specialist

Department:
The Client Information and Documentation team are a unique group of subject matter experts whose core purpose is to operate as a dedicated, responsive account opening team for Investor Services, driving a consistent end-to-end process across an array of internal and external stakeholders in order to surpass our clients’ expectations.
The role:
The role will support the implementation of new European regulations by analyzing existing client account set ups for and defining the required changes based on an agreed set of rules. There will be a need to provide status reporting and support other projects underway within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
On a client-by-client basis, prepare a report of existing account set-ups by importing information from core systems reports into MS Access before transferring subsets of information into MS Excel.
Analyse the set ups in MS Excel and set out the “to-be” structure for the client.
Agree the “to-be” model with stakeholders and prepare a template for use by other teams to amend the structures.
Track progress of the project, report status and liaise with stakeholders and management.
Quality assure work undertaken by other project team members.
Contribute to other projects and initiatives in the department and support “Business As Usual” (BAU) activity.
Essential Skills and Experience:
MS Excel to an intermediate level.
Must be very comfortable with designing spreadsheets, analysing large sets of data, using pivot tables, vlookups and setting out controls and checks for accuracy.
Familiarity with MS Office including PowerPoint and basic query writing on MS Access
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Project reporting and management
Ability to work at an individual level and within a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills, both with internal partnerships and clients
Well organised
Have strong questioning and analytical skills to contribute towards ongoing development of controls as well as automation initiatives.
Customer Service and client relationship skills
Custody knowledge.
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to escalate and manage potential risk
