Job Description:
Siemens Industry, Inc. (Water Technologies Business Unit) currently seeks a Field Sales Engineer to support our High Purity Systems water filtration products located in the Dallas, TX area. The Account Representative is responsible for sales growth of high purity water systems and associated services for the Industrial, Laboratory, and the Health Sciences market. This position reports to the Southern Regional Sales Manager with a direct relationship and responsibility for the local Branch revenue budget.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Sales to the Industrial, BioPharm, and Pharmaceutical Markets (25%)
- Sales to the Health Sciences Market in their assigned territory (25%)
- Regional management of the clinical analyzer National Account partnerships (15%)
- Local Key account responsibility for a select number of large accounts such as Medical Centers, Universities, Manufacturing, and BioPharm companies (15%)
- Coordinating and executing regional and local Trade Shows and Table Top activities (10%)
- Assist regional Engineering firms with water specification generation through “Lunch and Learns” and relationship building (10%)
The qualifications the ideal candidate will have include:
*A BA or BS Degree, preferably in a technical field, although a combination of education and directly related experience will also be considered
*5+ years experience in technical outside sales, either direct or thru additional specialized channels
*Experience in and familiarity with general water chemistry and design, and experience with clinical, research and general laboratories strongly desired
*The ability to positively interact with other team members to successfully sell, coordinate, design, and install and start-up water systems
*High level of skill in verbal and written communications to maintain positive working relationships with customers, direct staff, peers, selling professionals, and distributors
*Excellent presentation and training skills/experience
*Must have the willingness and ability to travel with minimal advanced notice and be available for travel of reasonable duration (1-3 days per trip) domestically (estimated as 40%)
*Ability to implement and effectively manage high transaction-type sales and multiple on-going projects
*Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing, presentation software, and spreadsheets
*Knowledge/experience with high purity water filtration equipment for the Industrial, BioPharm, Pharma, and Health Sciences industry strongly desired
