Accountant – 6 month contract role recruitment
GENERAL JOB INTRODUCTION:
An accountant is required for a 6 month contract for this temporary role. This is an interesting opportunity for a diploma or part degree qualified accountant looking for a flexible role to join an offshore vessel owner, reporting to a Financial Controller and based at the Singapore Head Office.

Our client is an established, large owner of Chemical Tankers, Bulk and Offshore vessels and provide a full range of transport solutions to the shipping industry. They pride themselves as being specialist providers of shipping operations that require competence and know-how and are recognized as a world leader in the offshore vessel marketplace.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
The candidates will have 1+ years’ experience but not necessarily in a Marine/Shipping environment. In addition to being a strong team player, the successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to assimilate and implement input as provided by the strong professional support that their immediate line manager will provide. The candidate will also need to be detailed, accurate and support the compliance requirements. The successful applicant will report directly to the Financial Controller.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Work experience preparing payments, maintaining an audit trail, processing of the cash book, journal entries and reconciliation of A/P and A/R. Under the guidance of the Financial Controller you will also issue sales invoices and be involved in archiving. It will be an advantage if the candidate has had experience using Navision. You will also need to be detailed, accurate and support the compliance requirements.
