Accountant

My client a market leader within the engineering sector have asked Hays Senior Finance to recruit for a Interim Finance Officer to work within their Audit team reporting to the Finance Director. This temporary role is for a period of up to 12 months.

Working closely with the Finance Department and other departments on site, you will also work with the International Control function.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

· Promote and ensure the implementation of all Internal Control systems and processes
· Pilot and co-ordinate the internal control campaign (documentation phase, tests and definition of action plans)
· Together with the MBD Audit Management, co-ordinate the planning and response for internal control audits
· Co-ordinate the follow-up of Action Plans arising from audits
· Problem solving, defining risk mitigations and setting up prevention plans
· Liaise with other members of the Finance Department and other functions as necessary to carry out specific projects, as directed by the Finance Director

In order to effectively carry out this role you will need to demonstrate the following competencies:

Good analytical skills
Excellent written verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Excellent time management organisational skills

You will be recently or part qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification with audit experience, preferably in a manufacturing / engineering environment. You will be proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
