Our client, a leading commodities trading house which is currently setting up its Finance Function in Singapore, is looking for an Accountant to join the small start-up team.
The Finance function has responsibility for full financial control of the business. This includes: financial accounting in accordance with relevant accounting standards, management and statutory reporting. This is a very hands-on, broad accounting role that offers a lots of exposure to the business and excellent career progression
Main responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Maintain statutory financial accounts
- Prepare financial management reports
- Carry out analysis of various accounts
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliation
- Support the statutory accounts preparation, cash-flow management as well as the budgeting and forecasting process
- Liaise with tax agents and auditors
Experience required
- A degree in Accounting or Finance
- Full set accounts experience essential
- ACCA/CPA/CA qualified preferred
- 5 or more years working experience
- Flexible attitude towards working hours and taking on ad-hoc tasks
- Should be willing to travel
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Must be based in Singapore currently
