Accountant, Group Financial Accounting, Switzerland
Our client is a global commodities firm and seeking an Accountant to join their Group Financial Accounting Department in Switzerland.
Your responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable
*Coding, posting and payment of overhead invoices
*Handling vendor accounts, including reconciliation of account statements and balance confirmations
*Collective billings of company-wide travel expenses
*Coding and posting of petty cash vouchers
*Arranging various other payments such as for loans and investments
*One of the contact person for accounts payable matters
Corporate Credit Cards
*Backup of administration of company credit cards
Bookkeeping
*Keeping the books of numerous group companies, domiciled in various jurisdictions, according to IFRS and providing a monthly reporting pack to Consolidation
*Reconciliation and confirmation of intercompany balances in these companies
*Liaison with counterparts of other group companies worldwide as well as with internal ones such as Legal, Tax or Consolidation Department with regards to transactions in these companies
*Preparation of statutory financial statements according to the respective jurisdictions' requirements
Requirements:
*Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Word and Excel)
*SAP knowledge of advantage
*+3 years professional Accounting experience
*Solid experience in financial statements and monthly closings; preferably with specialisation in finance and accounting with federal certificate
*Fluent in English with strong communication skills
You will be a good team player who is flexible, eager to learn and develop as well as work under pressure.
