Accountant Group Reporting recruitment

The opportunity

One of your key tasks will be the preparation of the US GAAP accounting statements for the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles by working closely with colleagues from other Swiss Re locations. Based on your good understanding of foreign exchange handling and insurance/investment accounting principles, you will assess the impact of complex transactions on the financial statements of the entities under your responsibility. You will participate in finance related projects targeted at enhancing current reporting practices and at standardizing processes among the individual reporting entities. The preparation of quarterly management reports also falls under your remit.

About you

You are a certified accountant / controller or have a equivalent education (BA, MA) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a group accounting/controlling environment. Solid knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards and the preparation of consolidated financial statements is a must, as is the ability to work in a target driven environment, under tight deadlines and on your own initiative. You can rely on your strong IT skills, particularly in regards of databases and MS Excel and you communicate convincingly in both English and German. Sound analytical skills and team spirit top off your profile.
