This position provides assistance to Commercial Accounting group in analyzing, tracking and reconciling inventories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciles assigned inventory locations in accordance with team policies and procedures. This includes timely preparation of reconciliations, obtaining third party documentation, and adherence to accounting close deadlines.
- Ensures that all reconciling items have been researched and addressed in a timely fashion and that no reconciling items remain outstanding for a period of three months.
- Ensures that inventory is recorded in the appropriate accounting period and in accordance with GAAP.
- Develops and maintains constructive relationships with external customers and internal business partners.
- Recommends improvements on timing and efficiency of reconciliation process.
Education and Experience
Minimum undergraduate degree in accounting, related field or equivalent experience typically required. 0-1 year accounting in refining or manufacturing environment typically required.
