Tax Accountant to research various tax compliance questions, respond to tax inquiries, and perform related tax account analyses, reconciliations and journal entries (corporate income, sales use, and VAT). Provide lead support to Tax Treasury functions to ensure accurate and timely report filings for tax, payroll and cash activities, including escheatment, electronic bank processing transactions, hedging transactions, etc.
Required Skills:
Requirements include the following: * Experience researching multi-state Sales and Use Tax and other multi-state business license and registration issues * Experience with VAT filing requirements * Experience with Federal and Multi-State Corporate Income taxes * Experience with treasury functions, including processing wires ACHs and reporting bank and foreign transactions * Strong understanding of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger and financial reporting processes, including accrual and prepaid analyses, and related journal entries. * Good organization and communication skills to facilitate data requests, meeting notes, follow-up efforts on open items and assignments * Prepare journal entries as required with well documented support * Prepare account reconciliations * Research, resolve and adjust reconciling account items in a timely manner * Ability to document work processes * Function as a team player by supporting special requests and projects as required.Preferred Skills:
* Strong organizational and computer skills (Excel CostPoint required) * Demonstrated communication and follow-up skills * Government Contract Industry Accounting experience * Proven expertise in addressing complex reconciliations * Attention to detail and commitment to delivery of quality/accurate work products * Ability to work in a dynamic environment with time constraints
