The Adecco Group, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of Financial and Banking Professionals, has an immediate opening for an Accountant on a contract position with a leading financial organization in Newark, DE 19713 . This is a W-2 position that could be extended. The pay range is from $18.00 to $20.00 hr. DOE. Accountant Accountant with 5 years of experience as an accountant. Examines, analyzes and interprets accounting records to prepare statements and/or advise management. Ability to manage resources as needed. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. - Able to work effectively in team setting. - Detail-oriented. - Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. - Basic general ledger accounting knowledge. - Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Prior knowledge of syndicated loans or trading operations is desired. - Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. - Ability to independently make sound decisions. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. - Awareness of the high risk nature of Investment Banking. - Ability to recognize potential issues and take the appropriate action, including escalation to management when necessary. - Maintenance of settled loan inventory, which includes the processing of re-pricings, interest payments, borrowing requests, amendments, fees, debt restructurings, etc. - Updating facility/loan information as needed to accommodate trade settlement. - Reconcile position and payment breaks with agent banks and trade counterparties. - Communicate extensively with other financial institutions, the settlements team, client service, FO, MO and accounting control teams to resolve any issues that arise. - Maintaining positions held on behalf of other investors, including participants and Masterswap clients. - Resolve open exceptions, inclusive of nostros, past dues, payable and receivables through the use of exception reporting. - Interpret Credit Agreements and other legal documents that govern the terms of the loans traded by the desk. - Provide suggestions regarding process improvement and risk minimization.
