(Financial Services Specialist I)
LOCATION: FGS/Administration - Richmond CO
SALARY: $15.07 - 26.40 an hour (Pay Band 4)
(This is a wage position. No State benefits)
DEADLINE: April 1, 2012, 5:00 P.M.
DUTIES: This position will provide support for certain financial and accounting positions in the Finance and General Services Division. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: data entry, analysis, reconciliation, and other financial and accounting assistance . Assists in accounts payable voucher preparation. Performs testing of internal controls and financial transaction processes through accounting system.
QUALIFICATIONS: Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting
principles, practices, and internal controls. Experience with federal grants and preparing financial reports preferably using the Commonwealth of Virginia Accounting and Reporting System (CARS). Strong working skills with automated systems, personal computer and related software such as word rocessing and spreadsheets; Excel, Word, Access preferred. College graduate with a degree in accounting, business, finance, related curriculum or combination of training and experience. CPA certification/license and audit experience
preferred. Successful candidate must pass a credit check, criminal conviction investigation and complete a Statement of Economic Interest form.
