Job Description
Responsible for internet deposit CD reconciliations, fed account reconciliations, and monitoring balancing and system reports associated with the internet deposit platform for CIT Bank. This includes working closely with the Operations and Treasury groups to research and clear all reconciling items. Prior experience in Banking, knowledge of deposit and transactional products, ACH, check clearing, and bank operational processes strongly preferred.
Position Responsibility:
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations for CD products
- Prepare daily reconciliation of Fed account.
- Monitor system balancing and reconciliation reports
- Prepare entries in General Ledger
- Perform research and analysis of account variances and activity
- Assist with quarterly Corporate and Regulatory reporting
- Perform Monthly Income Variance Analysis and budget update
- Assist in monthly close process
- Perform established bank FDICIA and SOX controls
- Prepare monthly financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends
- Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
- Collect information for internal and external auditors and regulatory examiners
- Other tasks as assigned by Deposit Operations Accounting Manager
Minimum Required Skills and Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of accounting experience in banking.
- Experience with ACH and deposit operations a plus
- GL Experience (PeopleSoft a Plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
- Ability to work in a team environment for project oriented assignments
- Good Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Advanced MS Excel skills a plus
- Working knowledge of Hyperion a plus
