SCOPE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for all activities in the general accounting functions including timely payments of vendor invoices, accurate payroll transactions, maintenance of accurate records and control reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.
• Invoice Auditing. Audits all invoices to determine discounts, amounts, terms and extensions. Matches vendor invoices to receivers and purchase orders. Communicates with vendors, employees, etc., to resolves discrepancies prior to processing payments.
• Costing and Bill of Material Maintenance. Ensure bill of materials align with our current formulas. Audit production to ensure that the correct amount of labor is utilized on production floor. At year end this position will be intricately involved in maintaining routers to ensure our products are correctly cost based on the following years production plan.
• Production Reporting. Enters daily production of dough and processes yield report to provide guidance of financial impacts of current operations.
• General Office Support. Maintains petty cash account. Sorts mail assists with processing overnight mail. Assists with telephone coverage.
• Payroll: Processes financial inputs into payroll cycle. Sorts and distributes paychecks to employees. Manages and reconciles unemployment for current employees.
• Performs other accounting duties as needed to assist in the overall day-to-day operations of the accounting function.

EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or a related field, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience, or equivalent experience, preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse group of people.
SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:
• Strong data entry skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with financial management and reporting systems, such as BPCS.
• Possesses good judgment and an ability to analyze data and information in order to make effective and timely decisions.
• Ability to seek innovative approaches to resolving problems.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
