Accountant, salary max 95.000CHF recruitment
Our client, is one of the world's largest global investment management
firms based in Switzerland. To increase their European Finance Accounting department, they are currently looking for an Accountant.
Your future Responsibilities
1. European fixed asset accounting
- Ensure booking for European capital expenditure
- Write and maintain procedures for fixed assets
- Prepare reports in relation to fixed assets for the statutory accounts
- Liaise on regular basis with the business locally in order to be kept up to date on capital
expenditure projects - Review fixed assets accounting entries performed by the Accounts Payables team for
accuracy
2. Maintain internal allocation of overheads
- Ensure that allocations are correct and represent the business reality
- Propose changes to the allocations as the business evolves and changes
- Audit SAP results after allocations
3. General Ledger activities for European companies
- Perform cost related accruals in the context of monthly closing for European
companies, excluding compensation and benefits - Review European company's accounts and identify reclassifications within the general
ledger - Review and analyse balance sheet and profit and loss for European companies, and
provide support to the Financial Planning Analysis team for their monthly variance
analysis
4. Intercompany fees and settlement
- Calculate and book intercompany fees for all European based companies
- Maintain allocation keys for the various types of services
- Perform intercompany settlements for all European based companies
5. Support the Tax and Regulatory function in agreement with the Team Manager
- preparation of the VAT return for either UK or
Switzerland
Your profile
- Finance related university degree or equivalent
- accounting qualification
- Between 2-3 years working experience in general accounting
- good knowledge of fixed asset accounting
- previous banking or financial services experiance is a must
- Advanced user of accounting system (SAP a plus) and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to translate accounting reality into the business language of the respective
departments - Strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent English
