Accountant (Soft Commodities) recruitment
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Report to management regarding the finances of business unit.
Financial Accounting
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports so that financial transactions, policies, systems, and procedures meet company’s short and long term business objectives and comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
• Reconcile the accounts
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
• Ensure filing of tax returns
Cash Management
• Prepare weekly cash management
• Ensure weekly payables and check signing
Management Information System
• Prepare the Business Unit’s financial reports to ensure they have been accurately prepared and present findings and recommendations to the top executive, group and/or Board.
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements, auditor and financial analyst reports; and regulatory reports filings.
Treasury Management
• Assist the Financial Controller on the banking related and fund raising activities

• Local statutory law
Minimum Educational and / or Training Qualifications and Certificates
• Bachelor of Accounting from university
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional degree would be advantage
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
• Total years of experience: 5 to 7 years experience in accounting function
• Relevant experience: From a soft commodities company would be desirable
