Job Overview
Growing CPA Firm seeks career-oriented Accountant/ Tax Preparer to be responsible for monthly accounting for the multiple small businesses and tax preparation for businesses and individuals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledgers
- Close year-end books
- Reconcile bank statements and investment statements
- Prepare monthly/ quarterly state returns
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
- Monitor cash flow
Skill Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a finance field
- Accounting Degree or commensurate experience
- Enrolled Agent, CPA or candidate preferred
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Experience with Creative Solutions/ Thomson Reuters Software is a plus
- Microsoft Excel and/or OpenOffice
- Ability to communicate clearly with management and customers
- Ability to work and participate in a team oriented environment
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic and changing environment
- Strong analytical skills with effective problem solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- High degree of initiative; highly motivated self starter
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task effectively
