Responsibilities The Accountant will be responsible for the completion of various accounts receivable duties, communicating and working with the Customer Care Center with regard to these accounts receivable duties, the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly analyses and reports, the timely and accurate completion of month-end journal entries and, the preparation of several General Ledger Account reconciliations. This position requires a great deal of attention to detail as well as an aptitude in understanding processes and suggesting ways to improve them. Access, review and make the appropriate adjustments to cardholder accounts for misposted payments. Prepare and distribute one of several different reports/analysis that are prepared on a regular/ad-hoc basis. Prepare General Ledger Account Reconciliations. Suggest efficiencies as a result of redundancy or unnecessary tasks being performed. Qualifications A self-starter who can operate in an environment requiring multi-tasking and task/project reprioritization Attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines consistently Ability to build good working relationships with others in order to get things done Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively Basic knowledge of Peoplesoft General Ledger Good understanding of accounting Good verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Excel and Word Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance Experience: 1-3 years related Accounting work experience Compensation and Benefits Alliance Data offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive selection of benefit options including 401(k).
