Accounting Clerk/Full Charge Bookkeeper Job in Irvine 92612, California US

 

We are seeking a detail oriented candidate to run all accounting functions.  Candidate must be diligent and able to multi-task with strong problem solving abilities with the ability to work in a professional manner. The Accounting Clerk/Full Charge Bookkeeper will work directly with the Director of Financial Services and CFO.

 

 Description of Position:

 

·          Recording business transactions and retaining all accounting records.

·          Posting, verifying, and reconciling accounts payable/receivable, payroll, credit card accounts and other ledger accounts.

·          Processing payroll including quarterly tax reports.

·          Verifying and processing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

·          Making journal entries including accruals and reverse entries.

·          Preparing budgets, monthly financial statements and reports including the profit and loss statement and balance sheet.

·          Knowledge of year-end procedures and developing schedules and work papers for the annual audit.

·          Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements, including grant reporting requirements; filing reports and advising management on needed actions.

·          Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements:

 

·          Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.  Additional experience will be considered in lieu of the preferred degree.

·          3-5 years of solid work experience in a full charge bookkeeper or general accounting role in a fast-paced company or organization. 

·          Possess a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles “GAAP”.

·          Strong technical skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel, Word and QuickBooks.

·          Proficiency in accrual accounting standards, data entry skills and accounting.

·          Strong attention to detail, accuracy, quality, confidentiality and thoroughness.

·          Demonstrated ability to write reports and correspondence.

·          Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

·          Must comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
