Accounting Consultant
Sullivan, Rogers Company, LLC is a Massachusetts CPA firm specializing in providing auditing and accounting services to Massachusetts governments. This is a very exciting and diverse arena providing unlimited opportunity and growth. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Accounting Consulting Division.
Technical Responsibilities:
· Perform accounting, treasury and collecting functions
· Reconcile balance sheet accounts, such as cash and accounts receivable
· Perform accounts payable functions
· Perform payroll functions
· Prepare financial reports and supporting documents
· Prepare formal written reports related to engagement performance
· Provide recommendations for improved and enhanced business efficiencies to clients
Professional Responsibilities:
· Exhibit excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
· Exhibit a professional, business-like demeanor
· Ability to integrate quickly into client settings
· Exhibit proficient problem solving skills
· Develop knowledge of Massachusetts municipal accounting and finance law
· Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
· Travel to local client sites
Education and Experience Qualifications:
· BS in Accounting (minimum), Masters degree and/or CPA (preferred)
· 3+ years of accounting and related experience
· Strong hands-on general ledger and financial reporting experience
· Consulting and/or auditing a plus
· Proficiency with Quicken, QuickBooks and MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
