Accounting Developments Analyst
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB. We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Accounting Developments Analyst -Statutory Reporting (Within Global Financial Control/Statutory Reporting to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Accounting Developments Analyst -Statutory Reporting (Within Global Financial Control/Statutory Reporting) you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
This wide ranging and challenging opportunity includes the following specific responsibilities:
- Support the MIB FINREP programme by providing expert statutory reporting advice on solution delivery for specific issues with low to medium levels of complexities.
- Key contact point in providing support to the line BAU teams where appropriate.
- Support the engagement with Finance Change on relevant programmes, representing statutory Reporting.
- Support relevant Statutory Reporting change requirements for the benefit of the function and the wider finance community
- Data analysis and interrogation. Provide support and resolution to data remediation.
- Provide finance expertise on banking products for disclosure purposes.
- Ensure appropriate timeliness, accuracy and quality of all outputs.
- Ensure processes and procedures adhere to the appropriate policies and control environment (inc SOX) governance.
- Engagement of key stakeholders in GCA, GFS, BUC and Change.
- Appropriate interaction with change programmes affecting the delivery of the team.
- Collaborate with the wider Finance team to ensure that related processes and efficiencies are aligned.
- Interact and give constructive support to resources in Singapore and Delhi.
- Build up an effective feedback mechanism; interact with business on an ongoing basis.
The candidate MUST have:
- Accounting Qualification(Any institution).
- Strong people, process and systems skills and understanding with a keen interest in improving existing systems and challenging existing processes where appropriate.
- Sound analytical and mathematical skills, with financial controls knowledge and experience
- Excellent understanding of financial market and corporate client banking and its drivers
- An understanding of a Bank's financial statements
- A strong understanding of IFRS Accounting Standards and new accounting developments.
