Position Description: Accounting Director
IMS is currently seeking an Accounting Director for our Franklin, WI office. The Accounting Director will provide financial analysis and support to the COO and drive the operational accounting for our branded merchandise, fulfillment and distribution businesses. This position will also be called on to drive cost-effective financial solutions to efficiently handle a wide range of transactions while maintaining proper internal controls and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
-Partner with COO to provide financial support and analysis
-Provide accurate, insightful and timely information to other supported business runners
-Drive accurate and timely completion of budgets and forecasts for supported businesses
-Manage financial component of Branded Merchandise Vendor Validation program
-Identify cost saving opportunities and implement process efficiencies
-Lead and mentor a staff of eight professional accountants in multiple locations
-Develop and maintain positive client relationships
-Ensure financial compliance against our client contracts
-Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures
Experience/Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and MBA preferred
-10+ years of financial experience with a proven history of career progression and a comprehensive knowledge of GAAP
-Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and manage priorities under tight timelines
-Critical thinking, strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
-Ability to handle a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently
-Ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests
-Must be a team player
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
