Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Accounting Implementation Consultant to join our high profile client.

Our client is the largest player in the PE and accounting siftware market, specifically to the fund market.

The Implementation Consultant will:

• Discuss business processes with clients, ranging from Accountants to CFOs
• Analyze transactional data, general ledgers, and financial statements to understand the current client workflow
• Apply working knowledge of various fund, tax and capital structures to specific client scenarios
• Assist clients in reconciling data import templates to their financial statements and/or general ledgers
• Determine transaction parameters and accounting instructions within software to maintain data integrity and daily workflow
• Formulate an effective project plan and effectively manage the implementation timeline
• Identify functional gaps in the Fund and Portfolio Accounting modules and write functional specs according to the software architecture
• Develop implementation documentation and specifications for client specific processing requirements    
• Assist in the delivery and evaluation of software enhancements and upgrades, working with Product Management and Development
• Ensure client satisfaction by managing software requests, questions, and issues in a timely fashion
• Be aware and investigate potential opportunities for account growth and new business
• Assist in financial data modeling for prospect and existing client

Candidate must have:

• 3 years experience of accounting consultancy or software implementation
• Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant Accountancy Qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Experience using various accounting software packages
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build strong relationships with existing and potential clients
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
