The essential function of this position is to support the accounting department. This includes, but is not limited to: all aspects of accounts receivable and payable, matching invoices in our accounting system and completing a weekly check run, assisting with daily inventory of purchased and grower product, and managing cartons at the packing houses. Secondary responsibilities would include: organizing office functions, filing, running reports, assisting with phones, and ordering and managing office supplies. - Accounts Receivable o Process daily deposit in famous remote deposit o Weekly AR meeting o Maintaining age analysis under 28 days at 90% o Management of Trouble Files o Customer Statements - Accounts Payable o Create weekly check runs o Keeping track of any invoice we have not received from a vendor and contacting them to obtain missing invoices. o Handle vendor calls for payment status. - Invoicing o Mail/Fax/Email all invoices o Aid Sales Assistants in maintaining their AR aging o Send out weekly customer statements - Balance key accounts to Income Statement and Balance Sheet daily - Management of Purchased and Carton Inventory - Compile Monthly reports for sales and management meetings - Establish measurable goals that can be reviewed monthly and/or quarterly. - Other o Assisting in answering phones o Change backup tape o Filing/faxing/emailing specific documents throughout the day o Manage office supplies on hand and purchasing o Keep record of product on hand o Over seeing Holiday and other company functions o We are an extremely team driven company, as part of a team approach to meeting the needs of the business we expect cheerful cooperation from all employees to help meet whatever jobs and duties arise in other departments of the company.
