Accounting Manager - Internal Controls
Globally Renowned Services firm is seeking a highly detailed and process oriented Audit professional to join their Boston based Corporate Accounting Group and provide support to their Financial Risk and Controls team in this very visible, cross-functional Accounting Manager role! This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking, goal-oriented straight public or public/private Auditor looking to leverage their strong SOX and internal controls expertise with a highly regarded international organization!
The Accounting Manager – Internal Controls will review the control environment, as well as individual controls, to identify potential risks and deficiencies, and to recommend improvements; meet regularly with process owners to conduct information gathering sessions and process walkthroughs; prepare detailed process documentation, flowcharts, control matrices and narratives; perform controls testing and transaction walkthroughs; and tie findings/results together to form sound and actionable conclusions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA and/or Master’s degree desired.
- 5-7 years of progressive audit experience - a straight public accounting background OR a combination of public accounting and public held company audit experience is REQUIRED.
- Thorough understanding of SOX and internal controls.
- Excellent leadership, project/process management, client service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Financials and/or Essbase a major plus.
