Job Descriptionapply Accounting Manager Digital Sport Job Location: Portland, OR As our Accounting Manager for NIKE Digital Sport, you will be responsible for all dimensions of the controllership function for this fast-growing business unit and help design and build the financial backbone for NIKE's expanding digital space. Key responsibilities include: Advise the organization on the accounting implications of business decisions, including arrangements involving multi-element revenue recognition, software capitalization and contract accounting. Execute accounting processes and maintain effective internal controls around the tracking and accounting for capital expenditures and development costs in accordance with US GAAP and NIKE Accounting Policy. Partner with finance counterparts to provide input in the budgeting and forecasting process and the review of operational results. Educate business managers on financial implications of business decisions. Manage day-to-day accounting operations and establish processes as needed to handle new payment streams. Work closely with cross-functional counterparts on partnership contracts and develop and maintain processes to account for new revenue streams. Provide recommendations and input on key financial and performance management metrics to optimize the short-term/long-term goals critical to Digital Sport's success. Be part of the larger NIKE Controlling Organization and embrace best practices. 305982 Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field 4 to 8 years experience in accounting, finance or related functions Big 4 Public accounting experience and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred Experience with accounting for multi-element revenue recognition, software capitalization and contract accounting strongly preferred. Experience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is preferred Enthusiasm for Technology and Digital Sport Strong understanding and application of managerial concepts and techniques in areas such as project/change management, idea creation, and cross-team effectiveness Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadership team Advanced ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and requests Strong ability to problem solve, communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience Strong ability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and layers Ability to pass a 7 year background check Job ID: 062044
