Accounting Manager Job in Carol Stream 60188, Illinois US
Invensys Controls designs, engineers and manufactures products, components, systems and services used in appliances, heating, air conditioning/cooling and refrigeration products across a wide range of industries in residential and commercial markets.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Global Accounting Manager to join our organization in Carol Stream.
Major Responsibilities:
- Leads worldwide accounting activities including developing standardized accounting processes, deploying standard processes, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and ensuring appropriate standards of internal control exist and are followed.
- Ensures the organization is compliant with IFRS, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Statutory accounting requirements. Accountable to Director of Global Accounting, Corporate Controller and Business CFO.
- Drives initiatives in Finance/Accounting relating to the following areas: general accounting, property accounting, monthly closing procedures, intercompany and provision/accrual activities.
- Ensures all financial reporting is completed accurately and timely.
- Maintains Tax compliance in the areas of sales and use, property tax, and employment tax.
- Keeps the Group Directors advised of all potential operational issues.
- Engages and directs leverage shared services to produce deliverables and achieve milestones.
- Assists in preparation of strategic plan, annual operating plan, and quarterly forecast.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting; CPA, and/or Masters in Accounting a plus.
Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting roles.
4-6 years in general accounting and/or audit/internal controls experience working internationally in an accounting or finance role.
2 years of external reporting experience.
Proven experience managing and supervising a staff of over 5.
Proven experience in a shared service accounting organization.
Experience implementing a general ledger system.
Experience working in an organization with at least 4 business/segments and 5 factories.
Excellent organizational, analytical and Communication Skills.
Excellent Leadership Skills.
Excellent Understanding of Cost Accounting and General Accounting.
Ability to lead large teams across multiple regions.
Ability to understand complex processes and project management requirements.
Strong Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
