Accounting Manager - $60,000 to $70,000 per year

 

Fuel distribution company in Denton seeking an Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity with a stable private family owned organization.  As a result of retirement by the incumbent the Company is looking for an individual who will be able to handle and supervise the day to day accounting needs. Reports to Executive Management.

 

Responsibilities include performing or supervising staff to:

·         Maintain and record business transactions, and balance ledgers

·         Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports

·         Monitor cash flow and line of credit availability

·         Administer sales tax and fuel tax reporting and remittance

·         Reconcile bank statements

·         Maintain intercompany accounting with wholly owned hauling/transportation company

·         Maintain accounting for company owned store

·         Maintain and coordinate accounting for related family owned businesses

·         Supervise payroll administration

·         Supervise processing sales invoices

·         Supervise processing collections and monitor accounts receivable aging

·         Supervise processing vendor payables

·         Supervise processing and administering operator lease payments for company owned properties

 

 

Skills and experience desired:

·         A bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred

·         At least 7 years of experience

·         Fuel distribution experience preferred

·         Ability to understand and administer compliance with regulatory requirements

·         Apply experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

·         Manage multi-task administrative demands

·         Perform a variety of complicated tasks
