Accounting Manager – Streaming Delivery Network (Denver, CO)


Liquid Compass (www.liquidcompass.net), a Streaming Delivery Network and Internet Radio Provider headquartered in Denver, CO is seeking an Accounting Manager with a strong accounting background. This candidate must be able to apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. Position will be responsible for managing the general accounting function. Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Relies on extensive experience with the accounting field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Possesses judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Position will report to the Liquid Compass Executive Team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  2. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  3. Prepare and review monthly budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, and invoices monthly.
  4. Prepare execute and support monthly billing cycle for staff, vendors and clients.
  5. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  6. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  8. Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
  9. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  10. Ensuring the maintenance of all payroll data

  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
  2. Expert with QuickBooks, Payroll systems, Mac OS, and Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  3. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  4. Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
  5. High standard of attention to detail.
  6. Solid commitment to customer and employee service.
  7. Ability to manage time and prioritize work.

Education/Experience Requirements

4-year degree required or 5-7 years of experience

 

Compensation

$55,000 – $65,000 / year
