Accounting Manager Job in Des Plaines 60018, Illinois US
Job Description:
This role is responsible for managing all company accounting functions, as well as performing some accounting functions such as managing monthly and year end close, reporting to external auditors, as well as quarterly audits with the bank and forecasting. The Accounting Manager will prepare for and attend the audits. The ideal candidate is strong in Credit and AR functions.
They will also be responsible for managing a staff of approximately 15 people comprised of staff accountants and accounting clerical professionals.
Candidates must be degreed in Accounting, have 5-15 years of corporate accounting experience, with much experience for a manufacturing company, have a strong working knowledge of AS400 and Microsoft Excel. Must have previous experience managing an accounting staff of 4+ individuals. Ideal candidates will be well versed in a myriad of accounting principles and functions i.e. GL, audit, sales use tax, month end close, year end close, forecasting, AR, credit, credit holds, AP, etc. SAP is a big plus.
