Roll Global’s corporate accounting department in Los Angeles is looking for an Accounting Manager. This role will act as a key Manager for the General Ledger team. The candidate needs to have leadership skills, a CPA, and experience supervising General Ledger activities. Experience with the Oracle Financials Suite and internal controls policies and procedures are required. Experience in implementing process improvements is required. This position is a full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Month-end close activities including but not limited to posting Journal entries, preparing account reconciliations and preparing and analyzing data reports.
- Prepare, review and analyze financial statements for individual company and consolidated companies Balance sheet, Income statement, Cash flow, and Lead schedules.
- Implement GAAP procedures and maintain tax fixed asset ledgers.
- Review and prepare Asset liability account reconciliations implement follow up action plans for resolution to common recurring issues.
- Responsible for providing analyses to internal customers in the Accounting department as well as to external customers within the organization.
- Review and prepare Intercompany reconciliations – prepare and analyze intercompany transactions and implement follow up action plans for resolution to common recurring issues.
- Review and prepare schedules required for monthly, quarterly and year-end internal and external audits.
- Review, prepare and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and provide variance explanations.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Develop and implement updated policies and procedures for general ledger tasks and accounting systems internal controls.
- Cash Flow Analysis and Forecasts upon request.
- Special projects of a financial nature upon request.
- Develop action plans to achieve strategic objectives as agreed upon with finance manage.
- Develop process improvement action items and manage the implementation of updated procedures.
- Perform Oracle Financials Super user tasks.
- Manage the GL team and provide recommendations on employee reviews and development.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting is required.
- CPA required, an MBA a plus.
- 5 years of experience in Accounting with sound knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). This includes the ability to research the practicable accounting treatment for complex transactions.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a leadership role with supervisory experience and providing business advisory services to internal management.
- 2 years of experience with Oracle EBS Financial Suite or equivalent ERP, preferably with implementation experience. Position requires in depth knowledge of GL, FA, AP, TE workflows and financial reporting processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Experience with accounting internal controls required including documentation and walkthroughs.
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment which requires multi-tasking and excellent communication skills. Experience in consumer packaged goods and/or large private concerns, a plus.
- Experience with audit requests for internal and external auditors required.
- Expert computer skills including Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with multiple reporting units and lines of business.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal skills required.
- Must possess a personal sense of urgency and superior teamwork skills.
