Local Automotive component supplier currently has an opening for an experienced Accounting Manager.
The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the monthly close process, preparation of budgets/forecasts and various financial review and reporting projects. This position is a hands-on role, with supervisory responsibilities, reporting to the Executive GM of Finance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with accounting staff on a daily basis to approve accounts payable, accounts receivable adjustments, fixed asset transactions, adjusting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other supervisory roles as defined by the Executive GM of Finance.
Lead monthly and annual financial close processes ensuring accurate and timely results.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis. Provide the necessary analysis to explain budget and forecast variances.
Prepare annual financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in coordination and preparation for the interim and annual audit.
Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in developing, documenting and testing of internal controls.
Ad hoc projects as assigned by Executive GM.
Supervise Accounting staff.
Required Skills:
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA or CMA license strongly preferred.
Experience in working with large ERP financial systems.
Experience in auditing preferred.
Experience in manufacturing Accounting preferred.
Strong financial statement knowledge, including consolidation and cash flows, as well as technical knowledge of GAAP
Must possess strong communication and solid interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to develop solid working relationships with coworkers and internal customers.
