We are seeking for an Accounting Manager, for our Dealer Management Solutions (DMS) solution team.
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager has to manage the operations of the DMS business unit accounting department. Direct month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process including financial statements preparation, and fluctuation analysis. Ensure that timely, accurate and informative financial information is provided to Division Management and Corporate Accounting team in compliance with GAAP and company policy and procedures. Perform detail reviews of Division financial results and analyze key metrics. This position is based in South Jordan, UT.
Primary Duties
· Oversee the accounting transactions for the business unit including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue reconciliation, cash flow, etc., and ensure that they are in accordance with GAAP and approved company policy and procedures.
· Ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue for the business unit including variance analyses against budget and prior periods.
· Responsible for the selection, development and evaluation of team members to ensure efficient operation of the accounting function.
· Assist in the design and implementation of operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
· Participate in special projects to support the objectives of the finance team.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree preferable in Accounting
· 6-8 plus years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing and finance and financial statement preparation
· At least 2 years of experience managing people
· Proven leadership and communication skills
· Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license a plus
· Public accounting experience is desirable
· SAP and ERP implementation experience a plus
· Demonstrated ability to identify and define accounting problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions
· Ability to manage day to day activities of professional accounting staff and procurement/fulfillment staff and collaborate with peers, and other financial management
· Experience and advanced knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office is required
· Self-starter, high energy, results oriented, detail oriented individual a must
